These eye-catching gingerbread swirl pancakes will be the can’t-miss item on any festive breakfast table. We’ve made them with a very special twist (literally!) – a swirl of our Gingerbread Protein Cream. It gives the pancakes an unmistakable holiday flavor – and don’t forget, ours is free of added sugar and palm oil. We’ve added a pinch of protein and a dusting of gingerbread spice.
Preheat the oven broiler to 200°C.
Mix the Protein Pancake powder with the milk until it forms a smooth batter.
Add the Protein Cream to a piping bag.
Preheat a nonstick pan on medium heat on the stove. Use the pancake batter to form 2 pancakes.
As soon as you see bubbles forming in the pancakes, pipe the Protein Cream onto them in a spiral shape.
Place the pancakes on a baking sheet and place them on the highest rack in the oven. Broil 3-5 minutes, until the tops are golden brown.
Serve the pancakes and decorate however you wish.
