Iced Masala Chai Latte Shape Shake

with homemade chai concentrate

By: Izy Hossack
A high protein, high fibre iced masala chai latte, made using our Vanilla Shape Shake 2.0.  We make a masala chai concentrate using a flavoured tea bag and fresh spices which is poured over ice. This is then mixed with the vanilla shake for a cooling, creamy meal.

Preparation

  • Combine the masala chai tea bag, star anise, cinnamon, ginger and 200ml water in a small pot on the stove. Bring to the boil over a medium heat then turn down to simmer for 15 minutes or until the volume has reduced by half. Set aside to cool then strain out the solids, pouring the liquid into a large glass. Top up with ice cubes.
  • Combine the shape shake and 350ml water in a protein shaker then shake to combine (or stir in a jug with a whisk). Pour over the ice in the glass then serve.
  • Enjoy!
Make the chai concentrate in bulk by using 4x the amount of tea, spices & water in the original recipe. Keep this concentrate in clean jar in the fridge for up to 4 days so you can easily add it to your prepared shape shake.
