If the hummus and baba ghanouj are getting stale, you’ll love the new flavor of muhammara! Vegan, gluten-free, and we’ve pepped it up with protein. This protein muhammara is the perfect dip for any party.
Preheat the oven to 230° C.
Ingredients:3 red bell peppersPrick the peppers several times all around with a fork. Put them on a sheet of tin foil and roast in the oven for 20-25 minutes.
Take the peppers out of the oven and cover with the foil. Set aside to cool. Once cool, slide the skin off of each one.
Ingredients:4 tbsp water, 80 g walnuts, 1 clove garlic, 2.5 tbsp tomato paste, 90 g Vegan protein bread, 2 tbsp pomegranate molasses, 1 tsp red chili flakes, 1 tsp sumac, 0.5 tsp cayenne pepperPut all the ingredients into a blender. Blend until you hit the smoothness you want.
Ingredients:1 tsp saltSeason with salt to taste.
Serve drizzled with a glug of olive oil, lemon juice, and sprinkled with fresh herbs as desired.
