In these Protein Peanut Butter Chocolate Bars you’ll find crispy crushed cornflakes with chocolate whey protein and peanut butter – this combo tastes like the American candy butterfingers. With a quick dip into a dark chocolate coating and sprinkle of peanuts, this recipe comes together quickly.

Ingredients

4 Persons

  • 80 g
    Peanut Butter
  • 2 tbsp
    runny honey
  • 1 tsp
    water
  • 30 g
    Whey Protein Caramel
  • 20 g
    cornflakes
  • 30 g
    no-added sugar dark chocolate
  • 0.5 tsp
    Coconut oil
  • 1 tsp
    peanuts, crushed

Preparation

    In a small bowl, mix the peanut butter, honey and water together until smooth. Mix in the whey protein to get a sticky dough. Crush the cornflakes by hand and add them to the bowl and stir together until fully combined.

    Pat the mixture out on a piece of baking paper into a roughly 7cm (2.75 inch) square. Freeze for 10 minutes then slice into 4 thin bars.

    Melt the dark chocolate and coconut oil together until smooth then pour over the top of each bar. Whilst the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle with the crushed peanuts. Chill until set then transfer to an airtight container.

    Store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
