1 tsp baking powder
200 ml warm water

3 tbsp tomato paste
1 tsp Italian herbs
70 g shredded cheese (e.g. gouda or emmental)
1 tbsp olive oil

These pizza twists will knock your socks off! They remind us of the twists you can find at the bakery – but homemade, and therefore, obviously, much healthier! Serve them at parties, birthdays, movie nights, or just because. The only thing you need to take care of is the filling: the gluten-free dough practically makes itself. No matter who you serve them to, prepare to amaze.

Preparation

  • Put the Protein Pizza powder and baking powder in a bowl and mix well.
  • Add water and mix until a consistent dough is formed.
  • Dust a working surface with flour. Roll the dough out into a thin rectangle. Preheat the oven to 180° C.
  • Spread the tomato paste on top of the dough. Sprinkle with herbs, then top evenly with the cheese. Gently press the toppings into the dough.
  • Lift up half the dough (on the short side) and fold it on top of the other half. Using a knife or a pizza cutter, slice into about 12 1.5-2-cm-thick strips.
  • Put a sheet of parchment paper onto a baking tray. Twist every strip into a spiral shape and lay on the parchment paper.
  • Brush the pizza twists with olive oil. Bake for 25-30 minutes until crispy.
  • Enjoy!
